Zayed National Museum marked Union Pledge Day with Weekends at Zayed National Museum: Union Pledge Day, held on 18 and 19 July 2026. Visitors took part in interactive activities and creative experiences inspired by unity, cooperation, collective responsibility and national pride. The programme included traditional Emirati performances, including al-rawah, live performances by the Abu Dhabi Police Music Band and Stories and Tales Across Generations, a storytelling experience inspired by Emirati heritage.

Children and families also participated in stitching workshops, using the colours of the UAE flag to hand-stitch details onto black-and-white heritage photographs, as well as plant pot decorating workshops followed by the planting of native UAE seeds or seedlings. Through the interactive My Pledge to the Union activation, visitors shared their personal pledges and contributed to a collaborative artwork reflecting the values of the Union and the responsibility of future generations in continuing the UAE’s journey.
