All proceeds from The Ritz-Carlton Dubai x Mama Rita Afternoon Tea on 18 October will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation in partnership with Brest Friends
The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai has announced a new partnership with Jessica and Rita Kahawaty, founders of Mama Rita as part of a charitable collaboration to raise awareness and funds for Al Jalila Foundation, in association with Brest Friends during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The collaboration between The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai and Entrepreneur, Humanitarian, and Model Jessica Kahawaty with wellness focused and Model Rita Kahawaty, will see the mother-daughter duo co-host a fashionable high tea event on 18 October focused on boosting awareness surrounding health and wellbeing, featuring specially curated The Ritz-Carlton Dubai x Mama Rita #PINKtober menu items. One of the core inspirations for this event is Rita Kahawaty’s inspiring personal journey with breast cancer, which we will be honoring and highlighting, in the hopes to empower fellow warriors and survivors.
Ladies who partake in The Ritz-Carlton Dubai’s award-winning afternoon tea hosted at The Lobby Lounge on 18 October will be able to enjoy a specially created Ritz-Carlton Dubai x Mama Rita savory, sweet and beverage creations as part of the signature Ritz-Carlton x Mama Rita afternoon tea, crafted in collaboration with Jessica and Rita, served within the prestigious Lobby Lounge upon prior reservations.
The specially created menu items, which will be available on 18 October 2022, will include a creamy beetroot hummus served in a crunchy tart shell served with carrots, Rita’s gluten free pink cake a soft log with caramelized almonds, paired with a perfectly refreshing Rosy Days Lemonade with fragrant rose water.

Mama Rita was launched by mother-daughter duo Rita and Jessica Kahawaty two years ago, to create home cooked meals that are both healthy and delicious. Growing up, Rita’s mother taught her how to cook using only the freshest ingredients. Rita took to cooking naturally and was soon adding her own touches to her mother’s signature dishes. Recognising this gift, Mama Rita was born from Jessica’s desire to share the flavors of her home with the world.

Aligned with the brand’s Community Footprints commitment, The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai will donate all proceeds from sales of the Ritz-Carlton x MamaRita Afternoon Tea to Al Jalila Foundation to support the breast cancer programme.
